Former DMB keyboardist Peter Griesar has left Charlottesville to spend six
weeks in L.A. recording his first full-length studio album. In the past few years,
Peter has released several shorter works, including a four-song EP in
December as a gift to nancies.org readers. This new, still-untitled solo album
will include re-recordings of a few old songs as well as a number of new ones.
Peter Griesar is now being managed by Flood Zone Entertainment, the same
folks that ran Richmond's famous Flood Zone club for so many years. Best of
all, the disc is being produced by Brian Kehew (his credits include Beck, Elvis
Costello, Lauren Hoffman, Foo Fighters and The Ramones), whose notriously
analog style should blend well with Peter's musical interests. The album will be
out by summer.
